How It Works
The Cypherock X1 splits your wallet's private key into 5 shares using Shamir's Secret Sharing: one share stored in the X1 Vault, and one share on each of the 4 X1 Cards. No single device ever holds the complete private key, eliminating any single point of failure. Cards can be stored in separate physical locations to protect against theft, disaster, or loss. To sign a transaction, simply use the X1 Vault and tap any one of the X1 Cards to authenticate.
What Sets It Apart
Instead of requiring users to write down and store a seed phrase on paper or metal, Cypherock enables seedless backup: the seed is encrypted and distributed across devices.
